TikTok pays at or above FAANG in headline numbers, partly to offset geopolitical-risk perception. The big caveat is equity: RSUs have historically been in privately-held ByteDance, with liquidity via periodic company buybacks rather than open-market sales - and the 2025 US joint-venture restructuring has shifted some US employees toward the new US entity's paper. Until the equity structure fully settles, discount the RSU component relative to a freely-tradable public-company grant when comparing offers.
