Both strong and weak examples, with notes on what makes each work (or fail). Read the weak examples carefully - the patterns they show up are the ones interviewers are trained to spot.
What makes this strong: (1) Started from a real problem (recurring incidents), not 'I wanted to look good.' (2) Negotiated permission rather than going rogue. (3) Stayed on the hook for follow-up (30 days on call), not just the launch. (4) Acknowledged what they learned, including a practical one. (5) Senior-level language: scoped, escalated, owned the boundary with another team. The candidate's main role was a feature engineer; the demonstrated capability is staff-level cross-team ownership.
What makes this strong: (1) The candidate explicitly chose the harder, less-rewarding path because long-term integrity mattered more. (2) Took ownership of the bug they introduced rather than minimizing it. (3) Communicated the trade-off clearly to stakeholders. (4) Process improvement came out of it. (5) Quantitative result tied to long-term value, not short-term revenue. This is the textbook senior ownership story.
Why this is weak: (1) Hitting your assigned deadline is the baseline expectation, not ownership. (2) No specifics about obstacles, decisions, or trade-offs. (3) No example of going beyond the formal scope. (4) Generic 'worked hard' framing is below the bar. Ownership questions are looking for stories where you took responsibility for something nobody assigned you.
Interviewers will probe. Be ready for the follow-up questions that test the depth of your story.

Speed matters. But the principle is reversible-vs-irreversible reasoning, not 'I work fast.' Get this distinction wrong and the answer reads as reckless.
